Bishop Dannie R. Ducksworth, Presiding Bishop    
Cornerstone City of Refuge Ministries, Inc.

 

Bishop Dannie R. Ducksworth was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on November 13, 1965. He is the oldest of four children that was born to the Deacon Curtis and Janie Ducksworth. Bishop Ducksworth is retired after serving 22 years in the United States Navy. While serving in his travels, he has been mentored by the finest of leadership and accredited his success to some great men of God that he refers to as his spiritual fathers in the Gospel. Bishop Abraham Yarbrough of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Bishop Nathaniel Davis, Sr. of Seattle, Washington, Bishop Billy Newton of Orlando, Florida, Bishop Madison Copeland of Suffolk, Virginia, Bishop William E. Ellis of Chicago, Illinois all are Bishops and Pastors of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the Word, Inc., (PA of W). During these times of mentor, he served as an Intern Pastor of Holiness Church of Jesus for 2 years installed by the Late Bishop Mickens of Apostolic Assemblies of Christ (AA of C) and as Assistant Pastor of Greater Morning Star Pentecostal Church of St. Mary’s in Lexington Park, Maryland, (PA of W) under the leadership of District Elder William H. Williams for 3 years. Bishop Ducksworth matured spiritually under the leadership of these fathers of the Gospel.

 

Bishop Ducksworth was Licensed in 1987 Licensed, Ordained 1993 and consecrated to Bishop in September 2004. Since his call into the ministry he has been serving the body of Christ in advancing the Kingdom of God through the anointed teaching and preaching of the Gospel. He is a Spirit-filled man whose life focus is to cast a vision of hope, victory, abundance, and overcoming of the old man. Bishop has served as an executive member of the D.C. Delaware and Maryland Dioceses (PA of W), on Licensees and Credential Board and served on numeral resolution committee appointed by Apostle Wesley Weeks of Delaware. Also founder of “GMSPC Enrichment” program received complements from Saint Mary County School systems depriving from increase academic standing from attending students. He was appointed by Commanding Officer and Naval Chaplain two occasions as Protestant Lay Director overseeing over 15 ministries onboard US Naval vessels. In addition he is working with Virginia Council of Churches.

  Bishop Ducksworth has studied extensively holding both a Bachelor of Administration, Doctorate of Divinity (Honorary), and working toward complete his Doctorate of Theology while operating “The City” Institute of Biblical Studies which he is the founder.

 

In 2001 God called him to Virginia, where he founded Cornerstone City of Refuge Ministries, Inc. He is known as a man of character, integrity, wisdom and a prophet of God with an Apostolic anointing as he and Co-Pastor Ducksworth have expanded their impact through the planting and receiving of several churches in Mississippi, Virginia, Africa, India, Japan and in the Philippines. Bishop Ducksworth have been God’s gift to the Body of Christ and have a passion for equipping leaders, restoring, rebuilding and strengthening families and encouraging other ministers and their spouses.

 

Bishop Ducksworth has been married to Elect Lady Rebecca Graham-Ducksworth for 20 years. They are the proud parents of 3 daughters, Jessika, Jazmine, and Jaylah. Bishop Ducksworth is the founder and CEO of D. R. Ducksworth Ministries “Fresh Manna” where Elect-Lady serves as Vice-President.


Bishop endeavor is to please God in everything he does. His desire is to help bridge the gap of racial and denominational barriers as well as build up hurt and wounded souls. As he is led by God and not man he requests your prayers daily.
